Job Title: Director of Financial Affairs and Business

The Director of Financial Affairs and Business is responsible for overseeing and spearheading business and financial operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow. This involves providing strategic leadership to the management team of FABS through the articulation of needs and plans pertaining to the operations of FABS. The Director is expected will perform a broad range of professional and managerial activities related to detailed complex accounting, budgeting, providing advisory services. This includes providing oversight and coordination of day-to-today operational management of FABS, both directly and through the various heads of units within FABS. The Director will monitor operations by holding regular meetings the FABS team and oversee on-going performance of direct reports and sign-off on individual employee performance evaluations.
A key role of the Director is to ensure compliance to financial regulations and policies and procedures ensuring CMI is in compliance with government and federal funding requirements as well as accreditation requirements. This includes ensuring CMI meets its reporting and auditing requirements and maintains a reliable, safe and credible system of documentation and records.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting/Business related field and extensive work experience; and
• Demonstrated knowledge of budget management, grant management and project management with a minimum of three years of experience in at least one of the following:
o Budget management
o Grant management
o Project Management
Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration.
• Three-years initial contract
• Transportation from the point of hire to the Marshall Islands
• Moving in allowance of USD $2,000.
• Up to $9,000 housing allowance.
